Return to Fountain Hills Fair

Last weekend marked the second arts and crafts festival held twice a year by the park at Fountain Hills, AZ. Only 2 hours from Tucson, it’s an easy day trip, but Rob & I opted to spend the night. It’s a lot of fun to sample the food in Phoenix and we are definitely appreciative of good cuisine.
Fountain Hills is an upper end community with beautiful golf courses and huge homes. The park is well-manicured with ducks and a spectacular fountain which erupts from a concrete water lily for 15 minutes each hour. The showy plume rises 300’-560’ in the air depending on how many pumps are running.
Over 200 vendor booths run all the way up one street and down the next. There are art dealers, jewelry and craft booths, soaps, flavored oils plus all kinds of food. Rob and I favor the chocolate booths. We sampled several and purchased some Belgian chocolate. Yum!! The specialty salsas are a good buy as well. This year we opted for the Mango from “Sassy Salsa”. It’s sweet with a bite from the peppers.
We thoroughly enjoyed the show and plan on a return trip next year. The next Fountain Hills Great Fair will be February 26-28. If you’re interested check out their website:
It’s worth the drive!!
