Tucson, AZ: Best Place to Live in the US
We are not exaggerating. Both Business Week and the AARP named Tucson #1 in the US in 2009.
AARP named Tucson as the "Best Place to Live the Simple Life" in July of 2009. Excerpt: “With an average of 286 sunny days a year and an affordable median housing price of $155,500, residents have the time and money to enjoy all that Tucson offers.”
This article was followed by Business Week’s, "America’s Best Affordable Places to Retire". Excerpt: “Tucson… is a scenic, affordable place to retire. It has its own airport, just six miles from downtown Tucson, more than 100 parks, a good public transportation system, and plenty of public and private golf courses.”
Is Tucson limited to retirees? NO! In 2010, Business Week named Tucson the “Best Place to Raise Your Kids”. Excerpt: “Tucson, surrounded by mountains and the beauty of the Sonora desert, is an affordable city that is home to the University of Arizona and University Medical Center, which are among its largest employers.”
